The Bowen Pipeline Project is a community-led regional infrastructure initiative focused on supporting long-term economic growth, sustainable development and future opportunities across North Queensland.
Through reliable water infrastructure, modern technology and regional collaboration, the project aims to help strengthen agriculture, industry, communities and environmental resilience for future generations.
Water will be supplied from the Burdekin Falls Dam which is equally Australia’s most reliable water source (with the Ord Rive Scheme) with an High Priority (Industrial) reliability of 100% and Medium Priority (Agriculture) monthly reliability of 95%. This far exceeds other agricultural water sources on Australia’s east coast.
