Becoming a member of PIPA shows your commitment to the plastic pipes and fittings industry now and into the future. It provides your organisation the opportunity to network with like-minded professionals both nationally and globally.
PIPA members form two classifications – Member Companies and Affiliate Organisations. We represent manufacturers and suppliers of plastic pipe and fittings, plastic resins suppliers’, plastic fabricators, pipeline installers, rubber seal ring manufacturers along with training and certification bodies.
As a member you will have access to:
A corporation will be eligible for Category A membership of the Company if it is an Australian corporation which in the previous two years has produced or converted into pipes, more than 30,000 tonnes per annum of any of PVC resin or polyolefin resin (Resin).
A corporation will be eligible for Category B membership of the Company if it is an Australian corporation:
(a) which in the previous two years has supplied or converted into pipes between 15,000 and 30,000 tonnes per annum of Resin; or
(b) which in the previous two years has sold plastic fittings in excess of $20 million per annum and which is not eligible for Category A membership; or
(c) which in the previous two years has supplied additives to Australian manufacturers of plastics pipes in excess of 12,000 tonnes per annum.
A corporation will be eligible for Category C membership of the Company if it is an Australian corporation:
(a) which in the previous two years has supplied or converted into pipes between 8,000 tonnes and 15,000 tonnes per annum of Resin; or
(b) which in the previous two years have sold plastic fittings between $8 million and $20 million per annum and which are not eligible for Category B membership; or
(b) which in the previous two years has supplied raw materials, additives, components or accessories in excess of 6,000 tonnes, but not more than 12,000 tonnes to the Australian manufacturers of plastics pipes.
A corporation will be eligible for Category D membership of the Company if it is an Australian corporation:
(a) which in the previous two years has supplied or converted into pipes less than 8,000 tonnes per annum of Resin; or
(b) which in the previous two years have sold plastic fittings to the value of less than $8 million per annum and which are not eligible for Category C membership; or
(b) which in the previous two years has supplied less than 6,000 tonnes of raw materials, additives, components or accessories to Australian manufacturers of plastic pipes.
The Board may from time to time permit corporations in any one of the following categories to become Affiliates of PIPA, which status shall be subject to the privileges, terms and conditions prescribed by the Board from time to time, including without limitation the payment of subscriptions to PIPA.
(a) organizations and associations that represent industries or persons, which have an active interest in developing the Australian market for plastics pipe systems, but which are not eligible for membership of PIPA
(b) pipeline installers
(c) pipeline systems designers
(d) training and testing organisations
The Board may from time to time permit companies, organisations or associations in the following category to become Associates of PIPA, which status shall be subject to the privileges, terms and conditions prescribed by the Board from time to time, including without limitation the payment of subscriptions to PIPA.
