2025 Operation Clean Sweep Nurdle Hunt: Join up this October – Make a real impact!

PIPA, together with members our NGO partner Tangaroa Blue Foundation, invites all plastic industry members to take part in two hands-on clean-up events this October. These events align with the global campaigns #PullingOurWeight and The Great Nurdle Hunt, showcasing the industry’s commitment to keeping plastic out of our waterways and oceans.

Melbourne
📍 Patterson River Ramp, Carrum, 3197
🗓 Tuesday 28 October
⏰ 9.30am – 11.30am

Sydney
📍 Kyeemagh Beach Baths, Brighton Le-Sands
🗓 Thursday 30 October
⏰ 9.30am – 11.30am

Both events will feature:

  • Guest speakers from the industry and environmental sector

  • A Nurdle Hunt and general clean-up activities

  • Networking opportunities with peers and partners

The Sydney event will be co-hosted with the NSW Environment Protection Authority (NSW EPA).

Past clean-ups have seen fantastic engagement from industry members, Chemistry Australia, ARMA, PIPA, the EPA, and community groups. This year, we invite your team to join the effort, helping identify sources of plastic pollution and resin pellet loss, while exploring practical ways to reduce plastic feedstock escaping through supply chains.

Register your team by Wednesday 22 October by emailing info@opcleansweep.org.au with your preferred location and the number of participants.

Let’s make a tangible difference together – see you in Melbourne or Sydney! Feel free to invite your industry colleagues to join these important events.
