Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) is one of the important materials in the formulation of PVC pipes, although only used in relatively small quantities. It is primarily used as an UV protectant and can also be used as a white pigment. In September at the International Plastics Pipes XX Andrew White from FP Pigments Oy in the UK will present a paper on a new generation of TiO2 which has a lower carbon footprint. This is just one of the many technical advancements to be presented at PPXX. View the full program here.
