Across the infrastructure and construction industries, there is a strong focus on the sustainability of plastics pipes and fittings. These pipe systems are engineered to last a very long time. As demand for recycled products increases PIPA has developed a discussion paper to help specifiers and procurers understand opportunities and technical limitations of using recycled material. PIPA’s new Industry Technical Guideline POP208 defines the specification and testing requirements for recycled materials to ensure plastic pipe systems are continued to be designed and manufactured to perform safely, reliably and effectively for at least 100 years. More information about these documents can be found in the publications section of the PIPA website.
