PIPA members Iplex, Vinidex and Qenos represented the Australian plastics pipe industry at No-Dig Downunder in Melbourne this week.
No-Dig Downunder is Australia’s premier technical conference and exhibition focussed on trenchless pipe installation and renovation methodologies. These processes are becoming critically important as Australia’s clay, concrete, asbestos cement and iron pipeline infrastructure reaches the end of its service life.
A paper presented by Qenos’ Dr Jeroen Wassenaar detailed the installation of twin DN315 and DN450 PE pipes in a demanding installation, drilled beneath a highly sensitive marine estuary to replace a ductile iron water main servicing the township of Yeppoon.
